A company was formed to further his [George Henry Tuck Kerslake 1853-1911] plant-breeding work and when the nursery moved from Potts Hill to Blackheath, Thomas Ambrose Kerslake (1862-1923), landscape gardener and nursery proprietor, took over its management. Thomas was born at Teignmouth and at the age of 21 migrated to Sydney….. Kerslake established a nursery at Paddington, and in 1914 released a section of Novelties raised by G. H. Kerslake including … and a new climbing rose.
