This nice rose is somewhat misnamed, since it does not throw-out typically long rambler canes. In Z6, it will rarely get above 1-2 feet, with no repeat bloom. But there is good mossing, hardiness, health, & slight fragrance.

Perhaps the size is stunted in more severe climates, but in my old mid desert SoCal garden, Red Moss Rambler grew YARDS long every year, throwing itself into other roses and shrubs indeterminately. At Sequoia Nursery, where it was born, it grew as a free standing plant, taller than the seedling greenhouses against which it was planted. It does flower spring or early summer, depending upon your climate. I've never seen it repeat its bloom. As with all Wichurana ramblers, it also layers itself as it grows.
