At my place it only started to sucker, when it was accidentally cut to the ground by an "i..ot" of the city workers. On the other hand: it roots very easy, wherever its canes touch the ground.	REPLY

Thanks, that's interesting. A neighbour found it growing in their garden as a thicket of suckers.	REPLY
