Pale roseate... light or pale pink... Light rose... bright pink nuanced lilac... bright pink with delicate pink edges... it would seem to have appears in the garden of Dominique Séguier, Bishop of Meaux, in 1637... it was also said to have been introduced into horticulture in 1789... "it was found in 1735 by a Dijonnais gardener"... Blooms in May, whence its common name May Pompon...
