This cultivar is listed as triploid in the paper 'Pollen diameter and guard cell length as predictors of ploidy in diverse rose cultivars, species, and breeding lines'
Felicitas Svejda in the May 2007 issue of "Roses-Canada", page 3, states that the published (HortScience, volumn 28, page 680, 1993) pollen parent of Simon Fraser is in error. The actual pollen parent was Frontenac.
