Introduced in France by André Schwartz in 1903 as 'Madame Berthe de Bary de Zahony'.
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1905 as 'Madame Berthe de Bary de Zahony'.

Bloom:
Deep yellow and salmon-orange, copper shading.   (Coloris jaune nankin fortement teinte d'aurore carmine et de jaune orange saumone nuiance de cuivre.).  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Reddish-purple foliage.
