Origin:

Bred by Nicola Welter (Germany, 1904).
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1905 as 'Cardinal'.

Class:

China / Bengale, Tea.

Bloom:

Red, yellow highlights. Moderate fragrance. Large, semi-double to double bloom form.

Habit:

Dense.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer.
