'Pennytrad' rose Description

Bloom:
Variable red-crimson blend, often darkening with blackish tints at petal edges. Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, quartered bloom form.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be grown as a shrub. drought resistant. flowers drop off cleanly. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Feed this rose well.

This has been a very useful breeder, often passing on good fragrance and rich color to its offspring. Not commercially available.
