A really unusually coloured Hybrid Tea, quite different from anything we have previously seen. The colour is a most curious dark nectarine-bronze on the outside of the petals which contrasts delightfully with the lighter shade of golden-bronze on the inside. The buds are long, opening to reveal large richly scented blooms which are perfectly formed, early to flower, quick to repeat and carried in great abundance on a vigorous growing plant. Disease resistance is excellent. Trial Ground Certificate, RNRS

Robert Stopford writes about the new roses that are doing well in his Lincolnshire Garden.
Belle Epoque  - This is a most intriguing colour - nectarine / bronze (the raiser's preference), coffee and cream, pinky tea.  Call it what you will, it is a most reliable variety of spreading disposition and very free flowering.

Fryer, UK 1994. RNRS Trial Ground Certificate 1995.
