I consider Earl of Mexborough for a very good group or border rose. She is much prettier than Cramoisi supérieur. A further new cultivar of Mr. Paul Bräuer has aroused my interest and I believe I am not wrong if I consider it valuable. She descends from a cross of the abovementioned rose Earl of Mexborough and Maréchal Niel. Habit, wood and foliage indicate to a high degree Niel and even more so to Niphetos. The curious colouring of the rose reminds of Soleil d'or....
