Origin:

Bred by Soulange Bodin Institut royal horticole de Fromont (France, before 1829). Bred by Unknown Belgian breeder(s) (Belgium, 1833).

Class:

China / Bengale.

Bloom:

Deep pink to light purple, red reverse, veining. 30 to 60 petals. Average diameter 3". Medium to large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Ovoid buds.

Habit:

Short, few or no prickles/thorns. 3 to 5 leaflets.
