Souv. De Madame Boullet (Garden & Decorative)  One of the best garden and decorative roses, and ranks with Mrs. Dunlop Best in all round excellence. Tall, vigorous grower and continuous bloomer. Lower stems are often thin and wiry, but hold the blooms well. Colour is deep cadmium yellow, which lasts well. Foliage is excellent. Long pointed buds, opening semi-double.  Fragrant. Habit 3. (HT)

Souvenir de Madame Boullet (H.T.) has large, double, deep cadmium-yellow flowers of excellent high-centred form, very freely produced upon robust and diffuse plants, with good tough green foliage. Pernet-Ducher 1921...Vigorous. Slightly fragrant...June-Sept. Hardy.

Terry Honeybun.  Yellow Roses.
The grouping of colours may seem wrong at first, when one considers the colour of Souv. de Mad. Boullet in autumn, but she is much paler in spring; therefore she slips down the list slightly.

'Souvenir de Madame Boullet'. Extra long pointed buds, opening to semi-double to double, richly tea scented blooms of deep cadmium yellow, which keep their colour much better than others. The growth is vigorous and upright, but the lower stems are often somewhat thin and wiry. A very vigorous climbing sport is available, and is the best yellow climber to date in our opinion.

Frank Penn, Auckland. N.Z.  The Twelve Best Roses.
Souv. de Mdme. Boullet (P. Ducher, 1921): Included among the twelve there must be one yellow, and I choose this as among the best of the yellows, taking into consideration vigour of growth, quality and number of blooms.  It has extra long-pointed buds of deep cadmium yellow, which keeps its colour well.

J. M. Forsyth, NZ. Climbing Roses.
My four Souv. de Mme. Boullets have all made wonderful growth, one of which is higher than most other climbers, and it has spread out into a regular fan shape. The long buds, which are always admired, are fairly frequent. It starts very early in spring to bloom, takes a spell, comes along again, and repeats itself during the whole season. Even during the "spells" the clean foliage and vigorous growth attract wide attention.

Tea and China Roses
Souvenir de Mme. Boullet—One of the loveliest orange roses, with an enormously long pointed bud, opening to a large finely-formed bloom. This profits by some shade, being a Tea, but is extremely vigorous. Very healthy and free blooming. Splendid... $1.25

John Poulsen.  The Rose as a Shrub.
Souv. de Mad. Boullet makes a splendid large bush; and although at the first blooming the colour is apt to become a little pale, the autumn colouring is beautiful.
