I'm sad to say this fragile little minature didn't do well on my southern facing porch, which gets constant sun and will average 90 to 95 degrees (up to 115 degrees) during summer months. The flowers are a very pretty salmon color at first, but bleached out to an unattractive color within 1 to 1 1/2 days after opening. The plant itself just couldn't take the intense heat. Thus, I gave this plant to my mother who has a partially shaded southern facing patio and the plants did wonderfully; kept their color and the foliage really flourished. It does need winter protection here in zone 8a. Unfortunately, we didn't do that and lost the plants. Thankfully, the majority of our other roses survived just fine. Aphids love this plant, but a good insecticide or blast of water will take care of that. I've started using GreenLight Neem II (works on flowers, nuts, fruits, and veggies), recommended by Portland Nursery, for bugs and diseases since she has neighbors growing fruits and veggies. Just a light spray does wonders.
