It would seem by the reports over the years that you either like this unusual rose or you dislike it intensely. The colour of the blooms change with the weather and time of year; when it is cooler the colour is more pink and lavender, in the hot weather it is at its best and is a real putty colour. It is an interesting rose for floral artists and those that like offbeat colours. The health of the bushes is not all that it might be for many growers and several have had difficulty getting it to grow satisfactorily with any vigour. Blackspot and powdery mildew seem to be the main problems as well as lack of vigour. Upright growth habit with a quick repeat of flowers. A rose that always excites comment from visitors and is worth a try for the sheer novelty.

Marlborough decrys poor plant but colour attracts comment from visitors. it can take blackspot in some areas, also powdery mildew at times, repeats well, upright growth habit, but not lusty. An interesting rose, worth trying.
