Le surintendant de ceux-ci [la Villa Reale à Monza], dans les années 1820-1840, se nommait Villaresi. Il était passionné de roses et obtint lui-même des dizaines de variétés de Chine: il en reste aujourd'hui "Belle de Monza", qui fut distribuée en France par Noisette, vers 1825, puis par Vibert, vers 1840.

Translation:
The Superintendent of the latter [the Villa Reale in Monza], in the years 1820-1840, was named Villaresi. He loved roses and obtained dozens of varieties of China: remaining today are "Belle de Monza" , which was distributed in France by Noisette towards 1825, then by Vibert , towards 1840.

In 1829, a Catalogue descriptif was published in France of the roses grown by Prevert fils at Rouen. In the section dedicated to the Bengal roses, the catalogue describes two varieties 'Belle de Monza' and 'Bella Villoresi', indicating as the raiser the nurseryman Vibert of Saint-Denis [actually it indicates only the name by which the rose was called in the nursery of Vibert]. But the name of 'Bella Villoresi' establishes the identity of the true raiser; and as regards 'Belle de Monza', convincing proof points also to Luigi Villoresi, who was director of the Monza Royal Garden from 1812 to 1825....
