Please correct, that this rose is not a large flowered climber, but a repeat flowering rambler. It is one of our most sold ramblers, wonderfull for rose-arches
This rose did great near Munich, grew vigorously and bloomed profusely. It was growing part shady in a good soil and annual rainfall around 1500mm. After moving to near Berlin it did not recover within 5 years. We have pure sandy soil and little rainfall (600mm/y). Although I changed a lot of the soil when planting it and giving it water often, it grows not nearly as good as before. I think this is a rose that only thrives in good soil and climate, but if so it is absolutely magnificent!!
One of the few truly repeat-flowering ramblers. Under-utilized, in my opinion, and will fill a large area. Not fragrant but vigorous and quite disease resistant here on Vancouver Island, zone 7.
