Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1984).
Class:
Miniature, Patio.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Strong, damask fragrance.  55 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Small, very full (41+ petals), in large clusters, cupped, rounded bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small buds.  
Habit:
Rounded, spreading.  Small, matte, medium green, leathery foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 1' to 18" (30 to 45cm).  Width: 18" to 30" (45 to 75cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

In his column Roses Abroad in the January 1998 issue of the American Rose magazine (pp.16-7), Sean McCann says this rose makes a great candidate for a hanging basket.


Ludwig's Roses says the flowers which are borne in clusters of from 5 to 25 appear in various shades of lavender, lilac and purple.
