'Paul McCartney' rose Reviews & Comments
-
-
I love the color, form and fragrance of this rose. Its vigor and constant blooms are exceptional. HOWEVER, I had to shovel prune both of my McCartney bushes because they were always covered in rust. I did everything to get rid of the rust, but nothing worked. Nothing. I mourn losing these two favorite roses, but surrounding roses were showing rust. Heartbreaking. Does anyone know of another rose with the same color and form? I am in southern California, zone 10b. Has anyone else had this experience?

It is more black spot resistant than many HTs in Barcelona.

I had the same experience in very humid Arkansas. It isn't immune to blackspot, but the astounding vigor of the plant means that any infection is hardly noticeable.

Yes its vigor is amazing. I planted one bare root in March 2022 and now it’s 1.2m in height and 1m in width.

It's a massive plant and very floriferous. Ours passed 61/2 feet by its second year and is almost as wide. Moreover, it's densely foliated so it counts as one of the few hybrid teas that can really serve as an ornamental shrub.

Hi all! Was curious if anyone has this rose as a standard. Aka tree? Thanks in advance for answer!
