Paul et Sons, rosiéristes à Cheshunt, Angleterre, ont livré aux cultures en 1912 : MAGNOLIA (Hybride de thè). ~ C'est un rosier fort, branchu, au feuillage vert foncé contrastant bien avec le coloris des roses. Les fleurs se forment bien et se detachment nettement du feuillage. Elles sont très larges. Les boutons sont ordinairement jaune orange foncé ou jaune d'or en s'ouvrant. Quand la fleur s'épanouit, le coloris se change en jaune citron, puis en jaune citron très clair. La fleur épanouie est semi-double ou presque double; elle présente souvent beaucoup de changement dans sa forme et ressemble beaucoup à Magnolia ou à Water Lily, avec de grands pétales. C'est une variété remarquable par sa beauté, sa floribondité et c'est une rose très belle pour le jardin.

The flowers are produced well above the foliage and are large and bold. The buds are pointed with wide outer petals, and are deep orange-yellow or golden yellow. As the flowers open, the color changes to yellow, lemon and lemon-white. The open flower, semi-double or near full, often displays the stamens, and much resembles a magnolia or water-lily, with giant guard petals. Dwarfs, $2 each.
