'Rosa lutea Austria Striata' rose Reviews & Comments
-
-
"A handsome Austrian briar rose was sent by Mr. A. Tate, Downside, Leatherhead; it was named Austria striata (A.M.); the flowers are single, golden-copper in centre, flushed and streaked with red from the margin inwards," Gardener's Magazine, vol. 47, 1904, p. 397. Tate's gardener was Mr. Mease, who likely had a hand in production of this rose and should not be left unmentioned. The "A.M." indicates "Award of Merit."
