His successes are quite satisfactory, especially in Riviera-roses; take for example his Contessa Caecilia Lurani, Fürstin Bülow, Wilhelm Hartmann, Prinzessin Viktoria von Battenberg, Zarina Alexandra, and foremost, his newest rose, King of Siam. I especially liked a very dark bluish black rose, a seedling of General Mac Arthur, which has not been named yet and not yet propagated, but gave me the impression that it could be play a great role next season on the Boulevards of Paris.
