Origin:
Bred by Charles-Denis Souchet (France, before 1842).
Introduced in France by Victor Verdier et fils in 1843 as 'Princesse Clementine'.
Class:
Bourbon, Hybrid China.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, violet shading, ages to violet .  Average diameter 1.75".  Small to medium, very full (41+ petals), scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small buds.  
Habit:
Medium foliage.  5 leaflets.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
