Bred by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, circa 1834).

Class:

Gallica / Provins, Hybrid Gallica.

Bloom:

Crimson, lilac edges. Mild fragrance. Medium, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, quartered bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles. Light green foliage.

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm). Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).

Growing:

Very vigorous.
