Origin:
Bred by Martin Vissers (Belgium, 2004).
Introduced in Belgium by Viva International BVBA in 2010 as 'Minerva'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Purple, golden-yellow stamens, ages to light blue .  Strong, sweet fragrance.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  

Height: 28" to 32" (70 to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or cut flower.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant., very mildew resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

Notes:
Dedicated to Belgium's old glory and premier automotive marque. Minerva built cars from 1899 to 1939 in Antwerp, and introduced the now standard four-wheel braking system in 1926. Rose Minerva® is sold in cooperation with Minerva Lions group in Antwerp for charity.
