'Honeymoon' (Camcream) Cream. Parentage: Unknown. Breeder: Benny 2002. Awards: Certificate of Merit, NZRS trials, Palmerston North 2003. Garden: 8.3. Exhibition: 6.5. Height: Medium. Health: 8.0. Fragrance: 5.0. Northland: Very good health wise with shiny leaf, good repeat, plenty of flowers and perfume, small exhibition type blooms. Te Awamutu: Small HT bloom, flowers well, Just a garden rose.

'Honeymoon' (Camcream) Benny 2002. Hybrid Tea. Reports 33. Plants 53. Garden 7.1. Exhibition 6.0. Height medium to tall. Health very good. Slight fragrance. Blooms are cream coloured, smallish, well formed and flower prolifically. The small bloom size is not great for exhibiting. The plant has reasonable health but may have problems with black spot.

'Honeymoon' (CAMcream) Benny 2002. 7 Reports: 17 Plants. Garden 7.3. Exhibition 6.4. Medium/Tall. Health 7.1. Fragrance: 4.6. Creamy/lemon colour. Northland: Very good healthwise with shiny leaf, good repeat, plenty of flowers and perfume, small blooms. Te Awamutu: Slow to establish but growing well this year and flowered well, small blooms but shapely. Feilding: Good shaped blooms, vigorous growth. Kapiti: Better in shade, only needs morning sun, flowers all season, some health problems. South Canterbury: Disappointed, dug out and gave away. Southland: Very nice shaped flowers, great rose for picking.

'Honeymoon' (CAMcream) Benny 2002. 10 Reports. 12 Plants. Garden 6.5. Exhibition 5.6. Medium/Tall. Health 6.6. Fragrance: 3.0. Creamy/lemon colour. Kaitaia: Small cream well formed blooms, reasonable health, could be used in bowl classes. Northland: Small exhibition blooms, last in arrangements, been able to pick lots of flowers this year, repeat excellent, healthy. Waikato: Nice HT shape but too small for exhibiting. Kapiti: Flowers well but gets blackspot easily. Marlborough: An ok rose but not great for showing, blooms a little small. Canterbury: More of a floribunda than a HT. South Canterbury: Untidy in growth habits, needs staking.

'Honeymoon' (CAMcream) Benny 2002: 8 Reports. 10 Plants. Garden 6.4. Exhibition 5.1. Medium/Tall. Health 6.8. Fragrance: 1.6. Creamy/lemon colour. Kaitaia: produced small HT cream tones, prolific bloomer. Northland: good repeat, strong growth and good for picking. Flowers at this stage are small. Waikato: nice HT form but quite small bloom, even with disbudding. Te Awamutu: small pointed HT flowers, pretty colour, slow to repeat. Southland: doing very well for first-year bush, blooms are very appealing.

'Honeymoon' (CAMcream) Benny 2002: Garden rating 6.9, Exhibition rating 6.6: 10 bushes, 6 reports: Some health problems: No fragrance: Medium height: Creamy/lemon colour. Te Awamutu likes the lemon colour, Ist year bush. Waikato, Te Awamutu and Waikato all have Ist year bushes and are waiting for the bushes to develop but say it looks promising. Northland calls it a good garden rose, doesn't quite make an exhibition bloom. Southland reports a lot of black spot and has taken a walk in a wheelbarrow. Auckland blooms damage in the rain.

David Benny, of Camphill Nurseries in South Otago, was in attendance to receive his certificate for ‘Honeymoon (CAMcream) which is a HT/Fl of a very attractive cream colour, very generous with its flowers and quite tall in the bed. This rose would make lovely blooms for a bridal bouquet.
