Book (1927) p81 Herbert Cowley. The Summer Jubilee Show. New Roses. Certificate of Merit. ‘Lincoln Seedling’. This Rose, of exceptional brilliance and colour, was shown in company with ‘Billy Boy’. Its colour is orange scarlet, with gold at the bases of the petals. When seen in the mass it is most effective. Shown by Messrs. G. Beckwith & son.
p209 Editor. The New Roses of 1926. ‘Lincoln Seedling (H.T) G. Beckwith & Sons. A very pretty little Rose. The colour is orange scarlet, with gold at the base. The blooms are well formed and freely produced on long stiff stems. The habit of growth is fairly vigorous, and the plant exhibited was free of mildew. A fine bedding variety. This Rose has been re-named ‘Cuba’.
