Most reporters found this rose was more like as Floribunda than a H.T. in the way that it flowered. If a single bloom was required, lots of disbudding was needed. The West Coast found this dark, velvety red rose stood up to the rain very well, with the bush growing well and repeat very good. In Northland, the reports were favourable too. Hawkes Bay reported that their very hot sun did not spoil or burn the petals. Its health everywhere is good. Several recommend 'Hidden Depths' as as a very good, red perfumed, garden rose.
