Something about the smell and shape of the blooms reminds me of Sombreuil. Could be in the lineage.

I'm curious if 'The Lady Gardener' is a climber or not. The description says climber but the height is listed as 4'

In England, David Austin'wensite quotes four feet high. It is more than possible that in warmer climates the bush will grow much taller.
