„La Hollande", prachtige snijroos van loof en bloem. Zij ontving een certificaat 1ste klasse te Amsterdam en niemand van de vele bezoekers van onze rozenvelden zal er aan twijfelen, dat het eene variëteit is van toekomst, eene roos, welke in massa gaat gekweekt worden. De kleur is bij uitstek schoon, prachtig wit met iets geelrose; de bloembladeren zijn stijf en buigen zich om tot een spits, gelijk La France. Daarbij is zij flink van schot en groelkracht, zoodat zij op den snoei gemakkelijk terugkomt.

"La Hollande" is a cut rose of splendid foliage and flower. It received a 1st class certificate in Amsterdam and none of the many visitors to our rose fields can doubt that it is a variety of the future, a rose that will be grown in great numbers. The color is exceptionally beautiful, a fine white with a touch of yellow-pink; the petals are stiff and bend into a point, like La France. It is also strong and vigorous, so that it responds well to pruning.

La Hollande, stammt von March. of Londonderry X Weisse Maman Cochet. Diese Neuheit haben wir schon seit 1903 in Beobachtung; sie hatte damals Fehler, aber durch sorgfältige, fortgesetzte Kultur wurden diese Fehler ganz unterdrückt, und nun bringt sie Blumen, welche als Schnittrosen sicher grossen Wert haben. Guter aufrechter Wuchs, Triebe von ½ m., schöne Belaubung, lange Knospen, beim Offnen von unvergleichlicher Schönheit. Die Form der Blume ist gleich der La France, jedes Blumenblatt spitzt sich graziös eiförmig zu, eine Eigenschaft, welche La France so beruhmt machte. Die Farbe ist die von Souv. du Prés. Carnot, Pharisäer usw., ganz frisch und schön. Weil die Blumen gross sind und gut gefüllt, werden sie wohl auch von langer Dauer sein. La Hollande ist eine wertvolle Neuheit, und da sie auch sehr reich blüht, kann ihr eine gute Zukunft nicht ausbleiben.

La Hollande, seedling of Marchioness of Londonderry X White Maman Cochet. 'We have been observing this new plant since 1903; it had defects at the time, but careful, continued cultivation has completely eliminated these faults, and now it produces flowers which are of great value as cut roses. Good upright growth, shoots of ½ meters, beautiful foliage, long buds, of incomparable beauty when opening. The shape of the flower is the same as La France, each petal is gracefully egg-shaped, a characteristic which made La France so famous. The colour is that of Souvenir du Président Carnot, Pharisäer, etc., very fresh and beautiful. Because the flowers are large and well-filled, they will probably last a long time. La Hollande is a valuable new plant, and because it flowers very profusely, it is bound to have a good future.
