This rose is named after Sadie Violet (Boss) Jauch. She was born in South Dakota, U.S.A. on March 15, 1907 and lived to be 106 years old. She moved to Lodi, CA with her family in 1919. She was a nurse and received her RN degree in 1928. She loved roses and planted hundreds of them at her church. This photo is of the rose unveiling on March 14, 2013 to celebrate her 106th birthday.
