R. Marion Hatton. A Good Year in America.
Dr. J. H. Nicolas has half a dozen [new roses].....Du Pont and Dr. Eckener were used to produce Camellia, a three inch flower of soft primrose with a deeper centre. It has 60 petals and opens nearly flat. Fruit scent. The medium plants had considerable black spot.
