In 2015 Martin Vissers from VIVA that on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Coloma rose garden a new rose was dedicated to it. Rosa Coloma ('VISmandel'), a healthy and floriferous rose. This rose has as sees parent Rosa 'Julia Child' of the breeder Carruth. The pollen parent is a crossing of an unnamed large-bloomed spray rose by Louis Lens, crossed with the Geram climber 'Aloha' by Kordes. The rose has orange-yellow buds in trusses which expand to lightly filled blooms passing from yellow to white....In autumn there are bright orange hips.

Martin Vissers VMX 8199 Julia Child x (Echo x Aloha). Absolute gem. Has everything a modern rose should have: flower and leaf color beautifully combined. Super strong and healthy. Beautiful discoloration (from soft orange yellow to white), self-cleaning. However, it is not fragrant.
