Just further commentary/experience.

I have gotten it to set one hip so far. Its a bit disfigured though, wide plump on the sides but more flat in the middle, kind of like a behind. So may not be anything in it but its developing rather than falling off.
Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a triploid.
Now towards the end of autumn here and it is getting a fair bit of black spots and some yellowing of these leaves, whether its just getting cold enough to go to sleep or a weakness I'm not sure yet, the George Best next to it is still producing new flowers without sign of infection.

The main good things about the plant are its vivid orange flowers that darken in UV instead of fade like most anything with yellow, that it flowers a lot and its dark foliage and bush shape.

It does have health issues though.

New addition, impulse buy, agree with the mild fragrance. Super bright orange, ages darker. seems to get that dark velvety sheen to it around day 4.

So far seems very healthy (next to a plant with blackspot, no infection) and vigorous (has doubled in size, other new addition Scentimental has barely grown). Will see how it does in hot weather, given the note on the main page about it not liking warm climates.

If you change impulse buy to awesome buy, it sounds more rational ... :]

For example, I make a lot of awesome rose buys, lol.

I'm still going with impulse :P

I suspect its sterile also, refuses to set hips and it's pollen used on most things seems to be a miss (I don't cover stamens so the very few hips could be OP from other things).

So while the colouring of the flower and the leaves is very nice, it's a difficult breeder at best but quite possibly sterile...which makes me super curious about it's lineage.

Also it tends to burn a lot in heat....granted Australia is generally towards the extreme end and the bulk of the rose growing people are in a more forgiving summer climate.
