In the lineage, I'm questioning if the correct 'Echo' is listed?

This one seems more likely?

Nope. Girija assures us today it was the Lens rose.

I just had a good conversation with Girija and Viru about this issue. And it is, indeed, the Tausendschoen sport that was used here and with Faith Whittlesey. Here is what they said:

"No we seem to have made a mistake. The problem is Echo has been available in India for a very long time añd we were under the impression that it was the Lens one and didn't check as we should have. But looking at the photos of both and reading the descriptions and references, we are sure that the Echo available in India and which we have used is not the Lens but the Lambert one.... Yes you can quote us. The Echo which we use is a polyantha with flowers which vary from pale pink to white and which are borne in great profusion in the gardens of the plains of India. We never had a doubt that this was a dwarf mutant of climbing roseTausendshorn which has the same characteristic of bearing fliwers which vary from white to light pink. The mistake is to attribute to Lens . Girija's clarification re FW is therefore correct but we are baffled how we departed from it in later correspondence and attributed the Echo used to Lens."

Good going Malcolm.

Glad it's been cleared up.
