Roald Dahl (Ausowlish) - Winner of a Silver Medal and the Irwin Award for health at the National Trial Garden in 2020. Soft orange-red buds open to medium-sized, cupped rosettes of perfect apricot colouring. They are extremely robust and have a lovely fruity Tea scent. Very healthy; it matures into an attractive, rounded, bushy shrub with few thorns. Perfect for any situations and can cope with partial shade. 1m high and wide. Awarded MOST PEST AND DISEASE RESISTANT OF THE TRIAL and SILVER MEDAL at the 2020 National Rose Trial Garden of Australia awards!

Soft orange-red buds open to medium-sized, cupped rosettes of perfect apricot coloring. They are produced almost continuously, are extremely robust and have a lovely medium strength tea fragrance with leafy elements and dark fruity notes. Very healthy; it forms an attractive, rounded, bushy head of growth with mid green foliage and few thorns..
Named to mark the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth, with the approval of his wife, Liccy Dahl – the coloring reminiscent of the eponymous peach in James and the Giant Peach. New.

This variety was named with the approval of Roald Dahl's wife, Felicity Dahl, to highlight Roald's love of gardening.  The colour of the rose immediately brought to mind the eponymous peach in James and the Giant Peach, one of Roald Dahl's best-loved novels.  Throughout 2016, there will be many celebrations for Roald Dahl 100 including the launch of this new rose named in his honour.  £2.50 from the sale of each rose will be donated to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, which helps make life better for seriously ill children in the UK.  Registered charity in England and Wales number 1137409.
