'Le Rire Niais' (also called 'A l'Odeur de Punaise')
A Centifolia raised by Dupont before 1810. Stems to 3 ft (1 m). The flowres are double, pink, and medium-sized. An undistinguished rose with an unusual scent.
Hardy to -13°F (-25°C), in Zone 5.

Thank you! The rose in Sangerhausen is now believed not to be Dupont's rose. The synonym 'A l'Odeur du Punaise' was deleted by Thory in the second edition of "Roses"

Thanks, it's not listed on their alphabetical list but is listed under OGRs.

In any case 'La Rire Niais' is grammatically incorrect, it is now merged with the correct 'Le Rire Niais'.

Nias is incorrect. "Niais" means simpleton and 'Le Rire Niais' - silly laugh.
