Tabasco (Sombousel) Tabasco has medium-large salmon orange blooms found both singularly and in clusters. In full flower, it is a magnificent sight. The bush is medium height and has a nice upright growth habit.

A Certificate of Merit was awarded to Tabasco (Sombousal) HT, bred by Rob Somerfield, Glenavon Roses. Trial No. 4965.  This was my pick early on in the trial as the winner, the shapely HT blooms although small attracted my attention as did the salmon orange colour. The plant was strong and upright in habit and complemented by beautiful foliage. However it did get some powdery mildew in both summers but not overly bad and the flowers did burn a little in the high UV light experienced in the spring. This is one rose on my purchase list for 2018.
