Origin:

Discovered by Pat Toolan (Australia, 2017).

Class:

Found Rose.

Bloom:

Pink or light pink, lighter reverse. Strong, opinions vary fragrance. up to 40 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, flat to cupped, reflexed bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Pointed buds.

Habit:

Rounded, upright. Matte, light green foliage.

Patents:

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:

From a grandmother's farm in Melrose, South Australia. Estimated to have been growing prior to 1930. The original bush had been 5'. Conserved by the grandaughter as cutting-grown plants, but it is difficult to strike and plants have only achieved 3'6" after two years.

PETALS: recurve back on themselves in the manner of 'La France'. White streaks in the petaloids. Blooms drop petals suddenly. Newer flowers form with the two tone pink.
FRAGRANCE: strong and sharp
PEDICEL: lightly glandular.
SEPALS: pedicellately glandular, ovate-acuminate, tiny folioles.
FOLIAGE: light green, matt and orbicular, (rounded).
PRICKLES: new - cream. Small, sharp, straight but with a downward angle.
BUSH: green stems. Like a bourbon plant
