Mine is fragrant in 90F weather. Moderate scent, similar to some completely yellow roses. Whatever that scent is called (not the lemon/fruit type scent, but the other one common to yellows).

Also, currently, its more orange, with gold-orange underlining, and a little bit of coral cherry at the edges. Definitely a superior rose to 'Ay Caramba!', which it replaced. The color gives me the same feeling the first time I saw the 'Dee Bennett' miniature rose, except 'Volcano' has some darker tones, as well.

No signs of downy in a downy prone spring.

So, a "floritea" type? Like Kanegem, Ruby Red, Viva, Sonia etc? Ahh, hmmm. Clear as mud.

Edit: After growing it out, the answer is obvious: Upright floribunda in tight clusters. So a bit like 'Mardis Gras' plant habit.
