Introduced by Unknown in before 1623 as 'Rosa campestris spinis carens biflora'.

Bloom:
Pink.  Single to semi-double, in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  Fragrant foliage.

Notes:
Possibly a rubiginosa-type with rebloom in autumn. The Dutch translation of Gardeners Dictionary states that it is a Virginian Rose.
