Rosehip 'Rubin' - the result of crossing the variety 'Vitaminny VNIVI' and Rosehip rugosa '1-6-3'. Received in the Moscow region. Author - V.D. Strelets. The variety was accepted for state testing in 1995. Included in the state register in 1999.

Rosehip variety Rubin. Early ripening, technical. The bush is vigorous. Shoots are thick, straight, brown-red, matte. Prickles along the entire length of the shoot, perpendicular to the shoot, light-colored. Leaves are medium, green. The leaflets are glabrous, matte, soft, straight. Hips with an average weight of 3.5 g, round-oval shape, orange color, sweet-sour taste, refreshing. The content of vitamin C is 3253 mg /%. The variety is frost-resistant.

Breeding work with rose hips is also carried out at the All-Russian Research Institute of Horticulture named after I.V. Michurin. ....
