‘Pompon de Bourgogne’/Rosa burgundica/’Pompon de Mai’/’Burgundy Rose’: Les rosiers Centfeuilles. Connu dès 1664. Description et conseils. On donne toujours comme synonyme de cette rose Rosa x centifolia parvifolia, et ‘Burgundian Rose’. Cependant, la consultation des documents anciens laisse à penser qu’il s’agissait au départ de roses distinctes.

Description. ('Pompon de Burgogne', Rosa burgundica, 'Pompon de Sr. François') An old miniature. Perhaps figured by Tabernaemontanus in 1590. It no doubt occurred as a mutation. Usually listed as a sport of R. centifolia, but Thomas feels it must be of R. gallica derivation. Thomas has 2 distinct forms of this. 3 to 5 feet.
