'Cinnamon Hearts™' rose Reviews & Comments

I wrote to Vineland a while back, about Candelabra aspect. They said while that breeder is longer there, they cannot confirm why its not listed as patented, and they do not have their own breeding rose named Candelabra. I didnt know what to make of this so I never posted.
Recently, with the weather quite damp and cold, the leftover blooms that did not melt in the rain are now coral orange. So, for me, mystery solved. Its likely a patent error and they really did use the JP grandiflora rose 'Candelabra'. Such a weird choice, but its clearly working, as this rose seems to be a marvel. In typical weather, its a cheery red, with a light eye. No orange present.

Thank you for checking on the seed parent!

Vineland is super friendly. Probably the best response I have ever gotten when inquiring about missing or confusing lineages, even if the response itself was unclear due to MIA breeder that went on to other work.

Cinnamon Hearts has been very black spot resistant here in central GA.

Winnipeg Parks is also blooming at the same time, but it has downy and bs already. Cinnamon Hearts has a similar bloom shape and size, but a much better color, and no spring diseases. I think its clear, so far, that CH is a better buy for the Pacific Northwest in terms of Canadian roses in this color range.
I forgot to add. In person, the color is a clear red, with a small cream eye. The reverse is slightly lighter. The blooms are quite round and do not open mis-shapen. I don't know where they got the orange-red idea from, but this looks like a classic red to me, but with a definite eye zone and a lighter reverse.

"The female parent of ‘VLR13003’ differs from ‘VLR13003’ in having flowers that are smaller in size and lack fragrance and leaves that are glossy and small in size. The male parent of ‘VLR13003’ differs from ‘VLR13003’ in having flowers that are double, medium in size, and light yellow in color and leaves that are glossy."
So, this is not the orange grandiflora named Candelabra by JP Roses.
