Origin:
Bred by Toutain (France, 1825).
Class:
Damask, Hybrid Gallica.  
Bloom:
Violet, red flecks. [Purple - red, white mottling, yellow stamens.].  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form.  
Habit:
Large, matte, variegated foliage.  5 to 6 leaflets.
