California Centennial HT. (Howard, 1949) New to me but others have grown it for several years. However, it is still almost unknown. A beautifully formed crimson rose with a great plant. Worth its place in any garden.

Shapely buds of clear rich crimson which open to semi-double blooms and are lightly fragrant, and keep their colour well. With a few more petals this would be highly popular. Adopted in 1949 as California's State Rose.
