Although my own root plant is slightly smaller than other 2nd year own roots in my garden, it blooms so much less than the others. In 2 years I have had maybe 3 total blooms on Akebono. They are stunning when they appear, flawless in form and impressively huge for the smallish plant. But this is starting to test my patience to be honest. I'm not an exhibitor, I like to see BLOOMS!
