This is my Daughter Robyn holding the very first bloom of her first registered rose, RESPECT. She made the cross in 1988 when she was 7 years old. For the next Seven years she was extremely involved in the parental selection and crossing of all of our new roses. She chose the name RESPECT by combining our Breeder intitials RES with four other letters that captured the essence of what she was striving for at the time. (Dad's footnote: Thank goodness for Aretha Franklin and her song R-E-S-P-E-C-T or my daughter would never have known how to spell it LOL)
