If it usually looked like that it might be worth growing, but I read your reference entry for it. Sounds like my experience with Hugo Roller: looks great in bud or half-open. Rapidly turns to rubbish in full sun, then sits on the bush looking like rubbish.

Edit: Although Hugo is behaving himself now that I've moved him to a spot with only morning sun.
