??? Recognize this? |
The taller OGR, along the fence, is Mdm. Plantier, a lovely alba rose that has an amazing bloom, late spring. The foliage of this rose is pretty enough too, even when not in bloom. In the foreground, is a rose that has decided to eat everything around her. I purchased her from Texas a few years ago, maybe that is why she likes alot of space! A local show judge assured me I had the wrong name for my entry, but that the proper name would have put my entry on the table. If I can figure out how, I will add a few photos of this mystery rose from Chamblee's, and hope for an I.D. I was under the impression that the rose was, "Mrs. R.M. Finch". |
This is the mystery rose mentioned in another garden photo. Chamblee's was the source. Does anyone recognize this rose? |
We have very poor soil around our home, compacted clay, better known as "buck tile", around here, in Davie N.C. The best solution we found was to create raised beds for our roses. The rock called "Catawba", is a local irritation to the building contractors, but we have found a great use for it. Our old F150 short bed, Bella, has hauled 'amanya' load. Jim has hauled alot too! |
