Firedragon This is a particularly fine variety, and one that is certain to please. The flowers are large, full, and sweetly scented, while the colour is best described as a brilliant fiery red, with the rare quality of retaining its shade without bluing. The plants are vigorous in growth, with the mildew-proof foliage for which ‘Glenara’ seedlings are noted, and are continually in bloom. The branching growth will make it a very desirable bedding variety. This Rose has been greatly admired wherever shown, and visitors to ‘Glenara’ have been very much struck by its intense colour and brightness. ‘Firedragon is a seedling from ‘Rhea Read’ [sic], and while retaining all that variety’s qualities, has darker colour and better perfume. ‘Firedragon’ is sent out with every confidence, as it has been grown for and thoroughly tested, under Australian conditions. Price 2/6 each.
